Job Details

MGO's Atlanta office is looking for a professional and organized Senior Tax Associate to join the Business Management team! The candidate will perform day-to-day full-charge bookkeeping functions for high profile and exciting clients in the entertainment industry along with completing any assigned work given by Managers/Supervisors. This role requires client facing and hands-on experience.  

 

We will consider also candidates based in the Century City, LA area.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review close outs, tax returns, etc.
  • Supervises the engagement (job) project management, ensures QC (technical) standards along with Tax Manager
  • Takes care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communication)
  • Develops engagement team (prepares associates to the next level
  • Understand and be able to explain the reasons behind the firm’s policies, procedures and practices and project management techniques.
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise lower level associates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2, but typically 3 +, years of experience in public accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting OR Bachelor’s Degree plus requisite accounting coursework.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
  • Ability to act in a responsive manner to client inquires and requests; escalate the more difficult issues as necessary.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with corporate taxation, individual taxation, close-outs for loan out corporations servicing the entertainment industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, CCH Prosystems and Datafaction is a plus

Salary:  $85,000 - $110,000
