
Senior Account Manager (Business Management)

MGO is seeking a highly organized and client-focused Senior Account Manager to join our growing Business Management practice. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong accounting and business management background who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, executives, entrepreneurs, and closely held businesses.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations for a portfolio of clients, manage complex accounting matters, and build strong relationships with clients and their professional advisors. You will combine technical accounting expertise with strategic problem-solving to help clients make informed financial decisions and achieve their long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for client engagements.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and cash management.
- Prepare journal entries, financial reports, schedules, and reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve accounting issues, anomalies, and non-routine transactions.
- Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, banking contacts, and external advisors.
- Support tax preparation processes and provide necessary financial documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of financial activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted resource for assigned clients.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or business management experience within a Business Management or CPA firm environment.
- Experience with Datafaction/AgilLink required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
- Experience with payroll, business licensing, state filings, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship management skills.
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
