
Supervisor (Business Management)

MGO is seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our Business Management team in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for a seasoned business management professional who thrives in a client-facing environment, enjoys leading teams, and serves as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, executives, entrepreneurs, and entertainment industry professionals.
Our Business Management practice provides accounting, financial management, tax coordination, and advisory services to clients across the Entertainment, Sports, and Media (ESM) industry. As a Supervisor, you will oversee the financial operations of a portfolio of clients, manage complex accounting matters, and supervise Account Managers while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager and main point of contact for assigned clients and their professional advisors.
- Oversee client accounting operations, cash management, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
- Monitor client cash flow and ensure positive balances across management and operating accounts.
- Coordinate the timely completion of financial statements, corporate and individual tax return support, close-out packages, and pension-related accounting.
- Assist with loan and financing packages, including compiling financial information for lenders.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting issues, non-routine transactions, and engagement challenges.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of Account Managers and support staff.
- Maintain proactive communication with partners regarding client matters, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or business management experience.
- Prior experience in a Business Management firm required.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with AgilLink/Datafaction and QuickBooks Online strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of payroll compliance, business licensing, state filings, and related regulatory requirements.
- Excellent client service, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000
