Overview

Proposal Writer (4 month temporary position)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage marketing proposal process from end to end
  • Communicate with business line leaders

Essential Functions:

  • Possess the ability to work on multiple proposals at the same time.
  • Direct the layout, formatting, design, and presentation of proposals.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with stakeholders as required.
  • Provide status updates to team members and executives.
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the proposal, including the initial outline.
  • Build a schedule for creating and/or receiving internal proposal deliverables within the proposal milestones and deadlines.
  • Ensure content alignment with strategy, costs/estimates, and client requirements.
  • Request and coordinate content from subject matter experts and other stakeholders/departments.
  • Create content as required.
  • Collaborate on creating and/or collecting graphics, charts, tables, images, and logos
  • Design the look and flow of the proposal document
  • Proofread and edit as required
  • Coordinate review process with key stakeholders
  • Track and make changes based on feedback
  • Ensure proposals are delivered complete and on deadline
  • Track completed proposals (won/lost/awaiting decision)
  • Organize and archive proposal documentation and other assets

                                               

Conditions:

  • Moderate overtime required throughout the year
  • Heavy sitting for extended periods in front of a computer
  • Minimal Hazards

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years’ professional marketing and/or design and graphics experience.
  • Knowledge of government contracting a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced Adobe CC, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong production skills and knowledge of print processes required - experience using both traditional process and web based digital process providers.
  • Intermediate MS Office proficiencies (particularly in Outlook and Power Point.)
  • Maintain a continually heavy workload and track multiple open projects.
  • Perform tasks that require a large amount of concentration with interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to keep information strictly confidential.
  • Strong team player, willing to help team when necessary
  • Writing, research, project management, and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional organization, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Work collaboratively with teams to complete projects

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English
  • Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.
