The Risk Consulting Partner will play a critical leadership role in managing and expanding our risk consulting services. The individual will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of clients, leading risk management initiatives, and providing strategic guidance to clients on risk-related matters, including regulatory compliance, internal controls, governance, and enterprise risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing valuable insights and guidance on managing risk and improving governance processes.
- Serve as the main point of contact for high-level client engagements, ensuring satisfaction and delivering exceptional service.
- Business Development:
- Lead business development efforts to generate new risk consulting engagements and expand the firm’s service offerings.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell risk management and other related services across different client segments.
- Collaborate with other service lines within the firm to promote integrated solutions for clients.
- Risk Consulting Services:
- Oversee the design, execution, and delivery of risk consulting services, including risk assessments, internal control reviews, fraud risk management, regulatory compliance, and IT risk management.
- Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies, crisis management, and business continuity planning.
- Conduct complex risk analyses and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of risk consultants, ensuring professional development and effective performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the risk consulting team.
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff to enhance technical expertise and client service capabilities.
- Thought Leadership & Expertise:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management and consulting.
- Share insights and knowledge with clients, colleagues, and industry peers through thought leadership activities, including publishing articles, speaking engagements, and participation in industry forums.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal methodologies, tools, and frameworks for delivering risk consulting services.
- Financial Management:
- Manage the financial performance of the risk consulting practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
- Ensure that engagements are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor and manage team utilization and billable hours to meet performance targets.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
Certifications:
- CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk consulting, internal audit, or related fields in professional services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing complex risk management projects and successfully delivering client outcomes.
- Deep understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance requirements, and internal control processes.
Skills:
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to clients in clear, actionable terms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to drive results and provide high-quality service.
