Job Details

The IT Technician (Level 1) will provide Tier 1 support via phone, email and computer chat. This position will use knowledge and resources to diagnose and resolve issues, and escalate issues that extend beyond Tier I span of control. The IT Technician (Level 1) will provide in person support for local office.

Must be in office 3-4 days a week in Melville office

 

Core Responsibilities:

· Ticket workflow management (incident management)

· Provide Level 1 help desk service

· Training on use of use of IT equipment (communications, video and other office equipment)

· Designated on site local office support

 

Essential Functions:

· Provide a point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance of MGO’s desktop computing environment.

· Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and peripherals to ensure optimal workstation performance.

· Provide level 1 support remotely (via phone, email, or instant messenger) or in person with hands-on help and or training at the desktop level.

· Provide support on escalated tickets working closely with GOC team members

· Provide software support by assisting users with the efficient and effective use of various company applications.

· Troubleshoots hardware and software issues on personal computers, workstations and printers. Assists users with basic Microsoft Office and other application questions.

· The position provides opportunities to work on special projects and will be asked to assume increasing responsibilities as time goes on.

· Monitor and maintain designated local office computer related equipment and resources

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in MIS or technology-related field

· 1 to 2 years of experience working as an IT help desk staff

· Excellent written/verbal communication skills

· Outstanding customer service skills: ability to assist others in person and over the phone

· Intermediate knowledge of the Windows 10 Operating System

· Intermediate Microsoft Office experience

· Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders

· Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills

Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000
