Job Details
The primary responsibility of this full-time supervisory position is to manage all business activities. Under the direction and supervision of the Director and Partner, the Business Management Manager is responsible for providing direct oversight to all Account Manager’s, to ensure all business activities and duties are adequately communicated, understood, and implemented.
Core Responsibilities:
· Leading Managing and Holding People Accountable (LMA)
· Understands and assists in execution of growth strategies (research calls, pipeline mgmt., COPs, etc.)
· Manages the engagement (job) project management, billing, ensures QC (technical) standards
· Takes care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communication)
· Technical skills (tax knowledge, monthly accounting reports, investment reports)
Essential Functions:
· Plan and oversee multiple tax assignments in various industries.
· Ensure all staff responsible for billing are adequately oriented, trained, and overseen in the performance of billing activities in an effective, efficient manner.
· Completes reports as assigned for Directors, Partners and client.
· Provides proactive and strategic advice on all business and financial matters.
· Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations and individuals.
· Compiles work papers and other accounting reports.
· Communicates regularly with regional offices to ensure compliance with billing and utilization processes.
· Directs the training and development of supervised staff in the performance of billing and utilization processes, including developing training to address changes as they occur.
· Complies with all regulatory bodies, under the direction of the Director.
· Completes required training according to firm policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Datafaction and QuickBooks Online is strongly preferred.
· Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.
· Knowledge of computerized accounting but must be able to do a manual set of
books.
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions, Payroll returns, Business tax license, Secretary of State filing and
· State Board of Equalization
Minimum Qualifications:
· 7+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
· CPA and CFP License is preferred
· Prior experience in Business Management preferred.
· May be required to be a Notary Public.
