Summary:

The Consulting Senior/Supervisor is responsible for delivering advisory projects, including overseeing day to day project delivery, leading interviews with clients, performing and overseeing delivery of key project elements, and assisting in project management duties (e.g., status reporting).  The Consulting Supervisor will provide internal audit and management consulting services, including internal audit services, performance audits/reviews, business process and internal control studies, benchmarking studies, efficiency analysis, and more.  The Consulting Senior/Supervisor will primarily serve government and public sector organizations. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, the Consulting Senior/Supervisor may learn and participate in business development activities, assist in developing and supervising staff, attend conferences and industry events, and participate in office and firm events.

 

Essential duties:

  • Contributions to the Firm Culture.
  • Model the core values of MGO.
  • Maintain agility to adapt quickly to shifting needs, demands, technology, or process changes.
  • Lead day to day project delivery efforts, including delivering and overseeing delivery by others of project tasks.
  • Supervise, train and mentor lower-level staff.
  • Deliver on time and on budget work product.
  • Lead client interviews, perform data analysis, research, testing, and more during project delivery.
  • Write reports, prepare other deliverables, and assist in presentation to the client.
  • Learn service delivery methodology and tools/technology in order to deliver projects in accordance with firm quality standards.
  • Collaborate and communicate with client and team members professionally.
  • Participate in industry conferences and training in order to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Learn and participate in the growth process, including assisting managers and partners on proposals, interviews, and other business development efforts.
  • Obtain certification aligned with firm and personal goals (e.g., CPA, CIA, PMP, CISA, etc.)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or Master’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business, Accounting or Public Affairs/Administration)
  • 3+ years of work experience in public accounting in the public sector specialized in audit, internal audit or related internal control positions.
  • Relevant certification preferred (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, PMP etc.) or in process of obtaining.
  • Proficiency in professional writing, spreadsheets and presentation creation tools.
  • Ability to travel to meet client needs and work collaboratively with others in person and remotely.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Establish subject batter expertise in the public sector.
  • Demonstrated success in high pressure scenarios.

  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by accountants or partners.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $130,000
