Job Details - Research and Development (R&D) Tax Manager or Supervisor

MGO is growing and we are looking for a motivated, hardworking and dynamic R&D Tax Manager or Supervisor with a strong passion for public accounting and tax services to join the team. The MGO R&D team has 30 years of experience and brings a variety of experience and expertise, the candidate will be working alongside both the Partner and Sr. Manager to complete projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development (R&D) tax credit projects, including client proposals, technical client interviews and discussions, performing tax technical research, and preparing calculations and support.
  • Leverage the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, and case law to determine maximize client tax benefits.
  • Assist in managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, and data gathering to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate directly with client personnel, including C-suite, owners, finance, accounting, and engineering.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university – CPA/JD certification preferred
  • A minimum of three years of R&D tax credit experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience, big-four experience preferred
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge and proficiency in advanced technical skills necessary for advising clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and performing internet research
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel and work at client locations
