Job Details

MGO is growing and we are looking for a motivated, hardworking and dynamic Business Management Director to join our team! The Business Management Director is responsible for overall project management, and business planning for the Business Management Department.


Core Responsibilities

  • Leading Managing and Holding People Accountable (LMA).
  • Support growth strategies / develops business.
  • Meet the engagement (job) financial goals, metrics, QC (technical) standards.
  • Takes care of the client / maintain client relationships / point of contact.
  • Technical skills (tax knowledge, monthly accounting reports, investment reports).

Essential Functions

  • Provides strategic direction and owns execution for multiple customers.
  • Drives Sales/BU alignment.
  • Prepare and set tone for customer meetings.
  • Responsible for customer experience and relationship-building during visits.
  • Responsible for achieving Region level financial targets (gross margin, OpEx), book/bill commit and forecast.
  • Manages multiple projects/ programs at the division level.
  • Oversees and acts as an advisor for Account Managers I, II, and III.
  • Influences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business.
  • Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership.
  • Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions.
  • Impacts business direction through the development of innovative services or products.
  • Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators or vendors to influence decisions.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting, but must be able to do a manual set of books.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions, Payroll returns, Business tax license, Secretary of State filing and State Board of Equalization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
    Prior experience in Business Management is preferred.
  • May be required to be a Notary Public.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime during February, March, April, and December.
