    Job Details
    MGO is growing and we need a Professional Development (PD) Assistant to join the HR team! A career in our Human Resources and Professional Devlopment sector will provide opportunity for this person to gain exposure to multiple training and development aspects of HR.

    The PD Assistant will focus on Firm Training and development administration, new hire/separation record updates for PD, training event coordination and logistics, maintaining training records, continuing professional education (CPE) records, and Firm licensing compliance. The PD Assistant helps with the coordination of training events and programs, and assists firm managers with PD/training issues.

     

    Core Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

    • Maintain Firm training records by ensuring all professional development systems are kept current and in compliance with Firm standards.
    • Register, coordinate, and maintain records of all Firm training sessions
    • Coordinate logistics for applicable firmwide training sessions that require employee travel and overnight stays
    • Ensure compliance with all NASBA standards in event invites and CPE administration
    • Assist Professional Development Manager with training preparation, coordination, and logistics
    • Update and maintain scheduled training with Internal Training Registry and MGO Academy Calendar
    • Coordinate all training activities, including sending event invites, registering trainings on Instructional Training Registry, working with local administrative support on firm-wide training events.
    • Update and maintain Firm learning management system (LMS), Service Line Training Plans, and Firm CPA Exam Tracker for all personnel changes. Regularly monitor reports for firm employee compliance regarding required continuing education for professional license renewal, GAO Yellowbook Requirements, and in-Firm training for non-licensed staff, provide reporting to PD manager for follow-up
    • Coordinate hotels, meals, social events, and flight information for training events where applicable
    • Print, assemble and format training materials
    • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the PD function and Manager requests                            

    Minimum Qualifications & Working Conditions:

    • 0-2 years in an administrative role supporting a team
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
    • Experience of analyzing information and presenting reports
    • Proficiency in MS office applications and computer-based systems of record
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Overtime as needed.
    • Works in the office 98% of the time.
